How the devices Differ
Ultherapy Prime is the only device that lets the doctor see the tissue layers during treatment, so energy is placed in the intended plane and structures such as bone and vessels can be avoided. It suits deeper laxity (SMAS Lifting).
Sofwave works more superficially at 1.5 mm, the depth best suited to wrinkles, so it addresses skin quality and mild to moderate laxity rather than lifting the underlying structure.
HIFU Sygmalift 3D differs from both: its main target is the fat layer, reducing cheek and submental volume to slim the facial contour rather than lifting the fibrous layer.
Thermage FLX is a single-session, non-surgical treatment for mild to moderate laxity on the face, eyes, neck and body, with results building over two to six months.
Volnewmer differs in measuring skin impedance before each shot and in having a dedicated tip for the eye area.
ONDA Pro Face uses microwave energy, which targets both fat and collagen. It is the main choice when the concern is cheek and submental fat.
EMFACE stimulates the facial muscles alongside treating the skin. It suits patients who need muscle support and do not want a smaller-looking face — this is a device that builds volume and lift.
Titanium Lifting is the only laser-based device in this category, working at several depths at once so firmness and skin brightness improve together.
EXION prompts the skin to build its own hyaluronic acid and collagen, addressing hydration and plumpness.
Which One Is Right
The answer depends on which layer the change is happening in, and that cannot be assessed from photographs or description alone — it requires the doctor to examine the skin.
Three things make the consultation faster: which area concerns you most, what treatments you have had before and how they went, and whether you have a date you want results by.
In many cases the doctor will recommend combining devices, since each works at a different layer — focused ultrasound at depth alongside microwave energy for jawline fat, for example. That usually works better than putting everything into one modality, and the doctor will plan the order and spacing between them.
